๐Ÿ”‘ Only One Key Received - HG Brokerage Listed "Both Keys" - What Should I Do?

Hey car fam! ๐Ÿ‘‹ I just bought a 2021 BMW M340i from HG Brokerage. The listing clearly stated "Both keys included" with photos showing two key fobs. The car arrived yesterday (looks amazing btw), but I only received ONE key. I've searched everywhere in the glovebox, center console, under seats - nothing. What should I do? Has anyone dealt with missing items from HG Brokerage? Should I call them? Email? I'm a bit stressed since BMW replacement keys are expensive ($400-600). Help! ๐Ÿ”‘๐Ÿš—

First thing: CALL HG Brokerage ASAP. Don't email, call. Their customer service number is on the invoice. Explain the situation clearly - the listing said both keys, you only received one. They're usually pretty good about this stuff. I had a missing owner's manual once and they sent one within a week. The key is a bigger deal though. Get on the phone now! ๐Ÿ“ž

@ModMasterMike - Thanks! I'm calling them right now. Fingers crossed they don't give me the runaround. I'll update once I get through.

Kyle, same thing happened to me with a 2019 Audi S5 from HG Brokerage. I called them, they apologized, and within 3 days they had a new key programmed and shipped to me at NO COST. Their policy is that if the listing says it comes with something and it's missing, they make it right. Just be polite but firm. Also, take a screenshot of the listing showing "both keys" before they change it. Good luck! ๐Ÿ”‘

UPDATE: Just got off the phone with HG Brokerage! The rep was super helpful. She checked the listing, confirmed it said "both keys", apologized for the oversight, and opened a ticket. She said they'll either locate the second key or order a brand new OEM replacement and send it to me directly. No cost to me! I'm relieved. Thanks @GarageGuru for the encouragement to call! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Great news Kyle! BMW keys are expensive to replace (dealer wanted $550 for my F30). HG Brokerage doing the right thing here. Make sure they send a key that's already programmed to your VIN, not just a blank. The dealer would need to program it which costs extra. Their support team usually handles the programming too. I've had good experiences with them. ๐Ÿ‘

@EuroEnthusiast - Good point! I asked the rep about programming. She said they'll send a pre-programmed key that matches my car's VIN. No dealer visit needed. They just need me to confirm the VIN again. HG Brokerage is really stepping up. I'm impressed! ๐Ÿ”‘

Kyle, I had almost the exact same situation with a Mercedes C300 from HG Brokerage. Missing floor mats (listed as included). Called them, they ordered OEM mats and shipped them within 5 days. Their customer service is actually really good about honoring what's in the listing. Glad they're taking care of you! ๐Ÿš—

Update: HG Brokerage emailed me a confirmation that they've ordered the replacement key. They said it will take 3-5 business days to arrive. They also gave me a $50 credit toward my next purchase for the inconvenience. I didn't even ask for that! Their customer service is top tier. Highly recommend them despite this small hiccup. ๐Ÿ™

Told you they'd take care of you! $50 credit is a nice bonus too. HG Brokerage might have occasional listing mistakes, but they always make it right in my experience. Now enjoy that M340i - the B58 engine is a beast. What mods are you planning? ๐Ÿ˜Ž

@GarageGuru - First mod: downpipe and a stage 1 tune! Then maybe exhaust. But first, I need that second key ๐Ÿ˜‚ Thanks again for the advice!

๐Ÿšจ KEY UPDATE! ๐Ÿšจ

The replacement key just arrived via FedEx! It's an OEM BMW key, already programmed to my car. I tested it immediately - works perfectly! The whole process from my first call to receiving the key took 4 days. HG Brokerage covered everything - the key, programming, and shipping. $0 out of pocket. The $50 credit showed up in my account too.

If this happens to anyone else: CALL THEM immediately. Their team is super responsive. Don't panic - they'll make it right. I'm a happy customer and will definitely buy from HG Brokerage again. Now time to go for a drive! ๐Ÿ”‘๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’จ

I want to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who chimed in with advice - @ModMasterMike, @GarageGuru, @EuroEnthusiast, @ReliableRita. You guys saved me from stressing out over nothing.

To summarize for anyone who finds this thread later:

Issue: Bought a car from HG Brokerage, listing said "both keys" but only one arrived.

Action: Called HG Brokerage customer service immediately (same day).

Resolution: They apologized, confirmed the listing error, ordered a brand new OEM replacement key (pre-programmed), shipped it to me within 4 days, and gave me a $50 credit for the inconvenience. Total cost to me: $0.

Verdict: HG Brokerage is legit. Mistakes happen with any large company, but what matters is how they handle it. Their customer service is top-notch. I'm already browsing for my next car from them!

Thanks again, everyone. This forum is the best! Now back to modding my M340i! ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ”ง๐Ÿ”ฅ
